Information about cheer clinics

What are cheer clinics?

Cheer clinics are a chance for all Crispus Attucks students to learn about cheerleading and begin to build cheer skills.  You do not need to have cheer experience to participate.  You will be taught cheer basics and beginning skills in advance of cheer tryouts later this year.  So, please do not feel discouraged if you have no cheer experience, all are welcome!  If you do have cheer experience, this will be a chance to sharpen these skills and work on new material.

Why should I come?
It is important to note that if you wish to try out for the cheerleading squad in the fall, it will be to your advantage to take part in the clinics.  This year, we are starting anew and there are no guaranteed spots on the team.  In addition to trying-out, each member of the 2013-14 CAMMHS Cheer Squad will need to prove to the cheer staff that they are willing to work hard and be excellent school ambassadors in order to earn a spot on the team.  Active participation, good attendance, promptness and general excellence throughout clinics are all good ways to demonstrate that you are able and willing to commit to this team.  Also, these clinics are going to be pretty fun, so you won't want to miss out!

Final Notes
Please take note of the proper attire for clinics (consult the previous post and/or flyers posted around the school).  You will not be admitted if you are not dressed properly.  Also make sure to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (you will not be permitted to leave the building until your ride home arrives).  Be prepared to stay until 5pm both Tuesday and Wednesday.  The remainder of the clinic schedule will be handed out on Wednesday.
